I lived in a dream world.
With fluffy stars and bright clouds and the
Endless flowing of sleep and the brilliant
Sensation that i was falling.

Cheese moons, and suns with Gods in them and
Pink oceans and magenta skies and hummingbirds.
Honeysuckle that grew up and around my brain and the sweetness seeped in,
Forever staining me.

Reality didn’t kick in until your lips connected
With mine.
The world shifted, I’m sure i felt the Earth tremble slightly,
And i thought, “Why is the world turning over?”
I opened my eyes and saw the world for what it is.

It’s a gritty, dark grey snow globe all shaken up,
The ash people all fallen down, landing here, some good,
Some bad, some grey.
It’s human.
Its reality, and i’m finally awake.

And for sure, it aint no dream world…but i’m still happy
To be apart of it anyway.
